Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus earned the title of "Man of the Match" in West Ham United's 2-2 draw against Newcastle United on Sunday, October 8, 2023.
The 23-year-old player came off the bench and made a significant impact by scoring his first league goal of the season for West Ham United during the closely contested match.
Kudus entered the game as a substitute for Tomas Soucek in the 76th minute and, within thirteen minutes, managed to equalize the score for the Hammers.
Soucek had initially given West Ham United the lead with a goal just eight minutes into the game, which held until the first-half break.
However, Newcastle United made a strong comeback in the second half, with Alexander Isak scoring two goals in the 57th and 62nd minutes, respectively.
In the 89th minute, Mohammed Kudus struck again, netting the equalizer and securing West Ham United a valuable point at home.
Following his outstanding performance, the former Ajax FC standout was rightfully awarded the "Man of the Match" accolade after the game.
