Newcastle are closing in on Ghanaian winger, Christian Atsu, Kickgh.com can report.
The 24-year-old is set to complete his move to the English Championship side in the coming days.
According to Sky Sports, an option to buy the Ghana international outright is also under discussion between the clubs.
He joined Chelsea from FC Porto on a transfer fee of £3.5m in 2013.
Atsu has been loaned out to Vitesse, Everton and Bournemouth in recent seasons without impressing.
His last loan spell was with Malaga last season, where he made just three league starts.
