Ghanaian youngster Kingsley Gyamfi has revealed that Östers IF sporting director Jesper Jansson is the one that influenced his decision to join his side on a season-long loan deal from his mother club Hammarby lF.

The promising defender, who was recruited by the Swedish football administrator at the Stockholm-based club, has reunited with his former club's chief ahead of the start of the 2025 Allsvenskan football campaign.

ln an interview with Swedish Newspaper Smålandsposten, Gyamfi said the former Swedish international is like a father to him as he meant a lot to him in his playing career.

''He[ Jesper Jansson] is like a father to me. He always tries to guide me and talks to me a lot, we have a very good relationship as he means a lot to me,'' the ex-Ekenäs IF loanee stated.

 The MSK Zilina Africa FC product has been tipped as a future prospect for Ghana Senior Men's National Team given his promising talent as a rising star.
