Black Stars defender, Alidu Seidu has signed a new contract extension with French topflight side Clermont Foot after an impressive first spell display
The 22 year old after a fruitful negotiations, has agreed to sign a new two year deal which will keep him at the Gabriel Montpied Stadium until 2027.
The versatile defender joined the Lancers in 2019 in the French Ligue 2 where he played a key role in helping them qualify to the country's topflight.
Speaking after extending his contract, the ex- JMG Academy star feels very elated to extend his stay and is hoping to offer more going forward.
"I am very happy to have extended for 2 additional years at Clermont Foot 63. My objective is to maintain this good dynamic with the team and to keep our place in Ligue 1 Uber Eats. I thank all the supporters as well as the coach, the staff and the whole club for their trust. Go Clemont!"
Alidu Seidu has featured in almost all the games Clermont Foot have played so far this season and is predominantly used in the heart of defence.
His stellar and consistent display is most likely to earn him a Black Stars spot at the 2022 FIFA World Cup which will be held in Qatar next month.
