The lateral fullback of Ghanaian origin has completed his move to the French lower-tier side in the just opened winter transfer window
French Ligue 2 outfit AS Saint-Etienne have announced the signing of French-born Ghanaian right-back Dennis Appiah until June 30, 2025.
The former AS Monaco youth man joined the Sainté on a free transfer having parted company with French Ligue 1 outfit FC Nantes this season.
Before putting pen to paper on the deal, he was given a clean bill of health by the medics of his new employers following his successful medical test earlier on.
Appiah expressed his happiness over his move to the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard outfit as he looks forward to helping them bounce back to winning ways following a faltering start this term.
''I arrive in a team that knows how to play football, that's not the problem. But it needs more aggressiveness to get out of this sinister linked to the recent relegation of the club. I am here to bring what I know how to do, while bringing my experience so that we can all get out of this difficult situation together," he told the club's official communications network.
Prior to his move, he made 15 league appearances with FC Nantes in the ongoing 2022-2023 football campaign in the French top-tier contest.
The Toulouse-born defender is still eligible to play for Ghana at the international level despite playing for the French national youth teams.
