Former Benab FC midfielder, Alex Opoku Sarfo has completed a loan switch to newly-promoted Cypriot topflight side AEK Zakakiou from giants Aris Limassol in the ongoing transfer window.
The 18 year old joined the champions in the last winter transfer window but due to some reasons, he wasn't registered and has finally been cleared this time on a three year deal.
However, he has now been sent to the Green and Whites who just got promoted and will hope for an instant impact in order to turn the team into a force to reckon with and a mainstay in the topflight.
Alex Opoku Sarfo joined the Light Brigades after an impressive and stellar display with Ghanaian second division side Benab FC having also featured for some of youth national teams couple of times.
He was part of the Black Satellites squad that played in the Toulon Cup last year in France and also played a vital role in qualifying the Black Meteors to the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations which was held in Morocco few months ago.
The versatile midfielder will hope for a starting berth this weekend when they kickoff their season at home against giants Apoel Nicosia this Sunday, August 20, 2023.
