The defender of Ghanaian heritage has sealed his deal with the German fourth-tier outfit ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window
Regionalliga Nord side FC Phönix Lübeck have announced the signing of German-born Ghanaian centre-back lmran Ali on a two-year contract from SC Wiedenbrück.
The 22-year-old, who can also operate as a defensive midfielder on the field of play, is joining the Stadion Flugplatz campaigners on a free transfer, with his current deal with his former employers set to expire on June 30, 2025.
ln an official statement over the capturing of the former Fortuna Düsseldorf Youth star, the Lübeck-based club have said via their Facebook Account: ''The FC Phönix Lübeck will start the transfer summer with lmran Ali. The 22-year-old centre-back moves from SC Wiedenbrück from the Regional League West to the airport and signs a two-year contract with the Eagles.''
Sporting director Frank Salomon added: ''Imran will add further stability to our defense with his impressive athleticism and tackling ability.''
lmran featured in 28 games for SC Wiedenbrück across all competitions in this just concluded 2024-25 football season.
Given his Ghanaian heritage, the Düsseldorf-born defender remains fit to play for Ghana Senior Men's National Team on the international stage.
