The 25-year-old has completed his transfer move to the relegated Portuguese elite division side in this summer window until the next two football seasons

Liga Portugal 2 side C.S. Marítimo have announced a two-year deal with Ghanaian winger Francis Cann from Primeira Liga club FC Vizela.

The former Vitória de Guimarães SC U23 loanee, who spent the 2022/23 football campaign at the newly-promoted Saudi Pro League side on loan, has now brought his six-year marriage with the Vizela-based club to a close after his permanent sale this summer.

Announcing his capture, the Estádio do Marítimo campaigners have said via their club's official website: "Ghanaian winger will be Lion of Almirante Reis for the next two seasons,"

"Francis Cann is a player for Marítimo. The 25-year-old Ghanaian-born winger has committed himself to the Biggest of the Isles for two seasons,"

"Welcome Francis. May you play with the “wish” for glory."

Cann played an integral role in FC Vizela qualification to the Portuguese top-flight during the 2021/22 campaign having featured in 32 games and netting 5 in all competitions.

The Tema-born winger was part of the Ghana U-20 squad that failed to qualify the Black Satellites to the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup in South Korea.
