The 25-year-old midfield enforcer has joined the Swedish third division side in an undisclosed period of contract in the ongoing winter transfer window 

Swedish Division 1 side Piteå IF have announced the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Sabah Lawson ahead of the Norra 2023 football season.

The former lnter Allies defensive midfielder is joining the LF Arena outfit on a free transfer following the expiration of his loan deal with fellow lower-tier side AFC Eskilstuna this term.

Club's sporting director Johan Norberg was left expressing his happiness over the capturing of the former IFK Goteborg man via his side's official communications network: "We are extremely happy to be able to associate such an established name as Sabah. With 44 matches in the Superettan and almost 20 Allsvenskan matches, he will bring a lot of experience."

He added: "We have long been looking for a physically strong ball winner who can give us an advantage in the center. Sabah will increase professionalism and contribute to us as a team developing and taking steps forward."

Lawson is yet to be capped by Ghana at the international level.
