OFFICIAL: Ghana's Sirlord Conteh seals SC Paderborn 07 deal

The Benteler Arena outfit have announced the signing of the 25-year-old attacker of Ghanaian origin ahead of the start of next term's campaign 

German-born Ghanaian attacker Sirlord Calvin Conteh has joined Bundesliga 2 side SC Paderborn 07 for the 2022-23 football league season.

The versatile attacker joins the Paderborn-based club on a free transfer having refused to extend his stay with Third division side FC Magdeburg in the just-ended campaign.

Manager Lukas Kwasniok will hope the signing of the former St. Pauli ll man will add more bite to his side's upfront in their quest to secure promotion to the topflight next season.

Sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth spoke highly of the 25-year-old over his qualities as he is set to team up with them in the lower division contest.

"Sirlord brings outstanding speed to Paderborn and also suits our team very well in terms of character. He will expand the possibilities in our attacking game in the coming season," Fabian Wohlgemuth told the club's official website.

Sirlord Conteh is a sibling to Christian Joe Conteh who plies his trade with Dutch elite side Feyenoord Rotterdam.

Both could still play for Ghana at the international level as they are yet to be capped by the Die Mannschaft.
