Ghanaian midfielder Kofi Amoako has completed a permanent transfer to German second-tier side Hamburger SV, signing a long-term contract that runs until 2030.

The 21-year-old successfully passed his medical before finalising the move, with HSV activating his €2 million release clause from Dynamo Dresden.

Amoako reportedly turned down interest from several other clubs to join Hamburg, who have been strengthening their squad ahead of the new campaign.

The move represents a major milestone in the youngster’s career as he joins one of Germany’s most storied clubs. HSV, who are pushing for a return to the Bundesliga, view Amoako as an important part of their long-term project.

An official announcement from the club is expected shortly, with Amoako becoming the latest Ghanaian talent to continue his development in German football.
