 The talented teenager of Ghanaian heritage has been handed his first professional contract by the German second tier outfit, with the terms set to expire in the next four football campaigns


 German-born Ghanaian youngster Emmanuel Gyamfi has signed his first professional contract with 2. Bundesliga side Schalke 04, the club have announced.

 The 19-year-old midfield teenage sensation was awarded with the long-term contract by the Gelsenkirchen club following his outstanding performances with the U23 squad ranks as a promising rising star for the past football seasons.

 Announcing the deal, those in charge of the Veltins-Arena outfit have said the contractual obligations with the youngster will run until June 2028, stating on their club's official website; "After five years in the Knappenschmiede, the next step now follows: Emmanuel Gyamfi has signed his first professional player contract with FC Schalke 04. The working paper is valid until June 30, 2028." 

After penning the deal, Gyamfi shed his excitement as he now looks forward to beginning his career on a professional basis since linking up with his parent club for five seasons now; " l would like to thank those responsible at Schalke for their trust. In the past few years I have been able to continue to develop at Knappenschmiede and now I would like to take the next step in professional football on a permanent basis."

He made 21 league game appearances, scoring once and assisting twice for Schalke 04 ll in the Regionalliga West 23/24 campaign.

Given his heritage, he still remains eligible to switch allegiance and play for Ghana at the international level as he's yet to be capped by the German senior national team.
