The 24-year-old flanksman has completed his  move to the Austrian second division side ahead of the upcoming football campaign

Austrian-born Ghanaian winger Winfred Amoah has joined Austrian 2.Liga side SKN St. Pölten on a two-year deal, the club have confirmed.

The ex-Sturm Graz youth product is joining the NV Arena campaigners on a free transfer after his contract with third division side DSV Leoben expired this summer.

Announcing the deal, the Sankt Pölten-based club have said via their club's official website that their deal with the 24-year-old winger could be extended to another year upon its expiration: " SKN St. Pölten is pleased to announce the signing of Winfred Amoah. The 24-year-old winger is moving from DSV Leoben to SKN St. Pölten and will strengthen the Wolf Pack for the new 2024/2025 season."

"Winfred Amoah, who can play on either the left or right wing, scored 5 goals and provided 8 assists in 30 appearances for DSV Leoben in the last second division season. Amoah has signed a two-year contract with SKN St. Pölten, with an option for a further year."

Right after appending his signature to the terms, the Ghanaian winger had this to say: "I am very happy to be at SKN St. Pölten. The club has big ambitions and I want to do my part to achieve them. The discussions with those in charge have convinced me that this is the right step for my career. I can hardly wait to be on the pitch with my new teammates and play in front of the fans."

Winfred Amoah, whose father is former Ghana international Charles Amoah, remains eligible to play for Ghana at the international level.
