The former Sporting CP left-back has joined the Austrian second division side until the end of the next football league season
Ghana international defender Lumor Agbenyenu has sealed a one-year deal with Austrian 2. Liga side SV Ried, with the deal set to come to a close on June 30, 2025.
The former Malaga CF lateral stopper is joining the Austrian lower division outfit from Greek top-flight campaigners AE Kifisias in this ongoing January transfer window.
An official announcement confirming the capturing of Lumor by the Josko Arena outfit read: "After Ante Bajic, SV Guntamatic Ried can announce another new addition: left-back Lumor Agbenyenu is now playing in the Innviertel. The 27-year-old Ghanaian, who last played for Greek club AE Kifisias, has signed a contract until 2025."
Having signed on the dotted line, the former TSV 1860 Munich loanee said he is determined to give of his best in order to help his new side regain their top-flight status come after the end of the current campaign, telling the club's communications network: "The club has the big goal of getting promoted back to the Bundesliga. I would like to help as much as I can. I am convinced that it is now the right decision for me to play for SV Guntamatic Ried. The first impressions in Ried were very positive.”
Lumor so far has 14 international caps with the Ghana men's senior national team the Black Stars.
