French Ligue 1 club AJ Auxerre have announced the loan signing of Ghanaian winger Ibrahim Osman from Brighton and Hove Albion in the ongoing summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old has joined the Blue and Whites lads on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the 2025-26 season's campaign.

Auxerre could buy him from Brighton for 16 million euros which would represent a transfer record for Auxerre.

The club's official statement reads: “AJA is pleased to announce the arrival of Ibrahim Osman! The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has joined Premier League club Brighton on loan (with an option to buy) for one season and will wear shirt number 23.”

Osman stayed with Danish side FC Nordsjaelland to see out the 2023-2024 season after signing for Brighton in the January transfer window but spent the 2024-2025 campaign in the Dutch League competing for Feyenoord.

He featured 32 times in all competitions and registered four goals and three assists and was part of Feyenoord’s UEFA Champions League run where he played seven games.

Osman has joined his Black Stars teammates, Gideon Mensah and Elisha Owusu at AJ Auxerre.
