The Swedish elite division side have landed the loan services of the 21-year-old winger of Ghanaian heritage from the English giants until the end of the current campaign
London-born Ghanaian youngster Charles Sagoe Jr has completed his transfer loan switch to the Allsvenskan side Kalmar FF from Premier League heavyweights Arsenal, the club have announced.
The talented wideman, who has already taken in two loan spells with English lowly division clubs Swansea City and Shrewsbury Town, is now all set to continue with his development in the Swedish top-flight for the remainder of the 2025-26 campaign.
An excerpt of official confirming over the loan signing of the Ghana-prospect winger reads: ''21-year-old winger Charles Sagoe Jr. joins Kalmar FF on a loan that extends for the rest of the season.''
Right after appending his signature to the deal, the 21-year-old has told his club's official media channel: ''It feels great to be here and I am really excited to get started, start training and get to know my new teammates. I am looking forward to showing my qualities on the pitch and helping to win matches. This is a good step for me and my continued career. After the conversations with the sports director and the management staff, I got a strong feeling that this was the right environment for me. Now I want to take advantage of the opportunity and help the team achieve good results in Allsvenskan.''
Sporting director Mats Winblad added: ''Great that he is finally in place! Charles is a player we have followed for a long time. He is very athletic, has really good speed and likes to drive the ball at high speed and challenge his opponent. Now he is stepping into training and hopefully we will see him in the game already on Saturday against IFK Norrköping.''
ln a recent interview with GOAL, Sagoe Jr has hinted on the possibility of switching nationality allegiance by representing Ghana at the senior national team level in the not-too-distant future over his international football career.
