The 20-year-old youngster of Ghanaian descent has completed his loan transfer switch to the ltalian second tier outfit in this ongoing summer transfer window 

ltalian-born Ghanaian midfielder Justin Kumi  has joined newly-promoted Serie B club Avellino from Serie A club Sassuolo on a season-long loan deal, the club have confirmed.

The talented youngster, who spent last season on loan at fellow lower division side Reggiana, is now set to spent the entire 2025-26 campaign on loan at the Stadio Partenio-Lombardi.

An official statement confirming the loan signing of the Ghana-prospect attacker read via the club's website: ''US Avellino 1912 announces that it has acquired the sporting rights of the footballer  Justin Kumi from US Sassuolo Calcio, on a temporary basis . Born in Castelfranco Veneto on 16 July 2004, he grew up in the youth teams of the black and green club.

''Among the professionals, he made his Serie A debut with Sassuolo in the 2023/2024 season and last year he played in Serie B, making 11 appearances split between Sassuolo and Reggiana.Welcome to Irpinia Justin!''

The signing of the promising rising star will now come as a morale booster for manager Raffaele Biancolino as he is set to play an integral role for his side in their quest to secure qualification to the top-flight next season.

Having played for the ltaly U18 & U19 national youth teams, Kumi still remains eligible to play for Ghana on the international stage given his Ghanaian heritage.
