The 25-year-old has been linked with a move away from his current side but says he will stay put at the Fritz-Walter-Stadion beyond this summer

Ghana-prospect winger Aaron Opoku has said he will "definitely" be at FC Kaiserslautern for the upcoming 2024/25 German 2.Bundesliga season.

After being linked with a move away from his side this summer, the former Hamburger SV man is convinced that he will surely be with his current employers although he didn't entirely rule out a move to other suitors in this ongoing transfer window.

"I have heard a lot and a lot has been said," he said to Bild. "I have also spoken to those responsible here. I still have a year left on my contract, I will definitely still be here. And as far as the future is concerned, I cannot predict that. I will just wait and see what happens."

His contract with FC Kaiserslautern will expire in 2025 after linking up with them in 2022.

Given his Ghanaian parentage, Opoku remains eligible to represent Ghana at the international level despite playing for the Germany U19 & U20 national youth teams.
