Austrian Bundesliga giants Red Bull Salzburg have reached agreement with Sogndal IF for the acquisition of Ghanaian young attacker Edmund Baidoo in the ongoing summer transfer.
According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, RB Salzburg has reached an agreement with Sogndal IF for €3.3million plus €1.2million add-ons for the services of the 18-year-old winger.
Baidoo is scheduled to undergo a mandatory medical examination in the coming hours before signing a long-term contract with the Bundesliga heavyweights.
Baidoo was acquired by Norwegian club Sogndal IF in February 2024 and has impressed heavily during his stay at the club. He joined the club from Ghanaian lower-tier side AsanSka Football Club.
He attracted interest from two Premier League clubs following his explosive performances in the Norwegian league but has now opted to join Salzburg to continue his development in Europe.
Baidoo has 10 goal involvements in 19 appearances for Sogndal IF in the Norwegian First Division this season and has also netted five goals and assists in three cup games.
