On Sunday afternoon, Ghanaian forward Joseph Paintsil delivered another outstanding performance, leading Genk to a crucial victory in the Championship playoff of the Belgian Pro League.
Starting for Genk in the away match against Club Brugge KV, Paintsil wasted no time making an impact. Just 12 minutes into the first half, he found the back of the net, giving KRC Genk the lead.
Although Club Brugge managed to equalize through Hans Vanaken in the 64th minute, Genk's determination paid off. In the 81st minute, Patrik Hrosovsky scored to put Genk ahead once again.
Just five minutes later, Joseph Paintsil showcased his skills once more, scoring his second goal of the match and securing a fantastic 3-1 victory for his team.
Throughout the season, Paintsil has been in exceptional form, scoring 17 goals in the Belgian Pro League and providing 12 assists.
His impressive performances have earned him a place in the Ghana squad, and he is expected to feature in the upcoming AFCON qualification match against Madagascar in June.
