Spanish Laliga side Real Sociedad have exhibited strong interest in securing the service of Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey in January.

Partey, as reported earlier by Italian top tabloid Tutto Mercato, is pushing for this exit from the Londoners mainly due to lack of playing time.

The 29-year-old despite having a good campaign last season has struggled to command starting berth this time since the introduction of Declan Rice and has made only four appearances so far.

Despite not being able to command starting spot recently, the mercurial middleman is still on sidelines due to a muscle injury and is most likely he will be out of action until next year.

Exclusive speculations has it that, Real Sociedad have expressed interest in signing the versatile in the next winter transfer window which opens in few months time.

It is still not confirmed as to whether the Blue-Whites are in for a permanent switch or not but anything like that means they will have to meet Arsenal's asking price of €45-40 million.

Thomas Partey wasn't included in coach Chris Hughton's squad for games against Madagascar and Comoros in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Also, he is a strong doubt for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations which will be held in Cote D'Ivoire early next year.
