English Premier League side, Wolverhampton Wanderers have joined the race to sign Ghanaian sensation Kudus Mohammed before the summer transfer window closes.
UK tabloid, Football Insider already revealed that, Everton are in pole position of completing the acquisition of the 22-year-old from the Dutch Eredivisie giants following advanced negotiations with the player.
But, the latest speculations has it that, the Wolves have joined the race and are ready to battle the Toffees for the service of the Ghanaian sensation.
Kudus Mohammed, who is rated among the best youngsters in European football, is currently struggling with playing time at Ajax Amsterdam despite having a stellar preseason.
He started Ajax’s opening three games this season on the bench but are still reluctant on releasing him to any club this summer with manager Alfred Schreuder openly stated over the weekend that, he is part of their plans.
The former Black Starlets midfielder joined Ajax in the summer of 2020 from Danish SuperLiga side FC Nordsjaelland and has now made 45 total appearances for the club.
He is hoping to make a switch away from the Johan Cruijff Arena this summer to seek for much playing time elsewhere to get him well gelled and poised for the 2022 FIFA World Cup which is slated for November.
