Black Stars goalkeeper, Richard Ofori has expressed how elated he felt after winning the MTN8 tournament with Orlando Pirates last Saturday.

The Buccaneers emerged champions after winning 3-1 on penalties following a goalless draw after regulation time at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Pirates goalie Sipho Chaine was the hero of the day for the champions, having saved three penalty kicks in the shootouts and was adjudged man of the match in the game.

Richard Ofori was part of the winning team but was an unused substitute in the entire game.

Reacting to the win, the ex- Wa All Stars goalie described the feeling as an extraordinary one and praised the spirit of him and his teammates. He wrote on Instagram;

"It’s always a great feeling to know that no matter what hurdles we may face, we get through it all as a family."

“Today was an extra ordinary day that came with extra ordinary joy. Up the bucks. MTN 8 champions yet again. To God be the glory.”

Richard Ofori once again has been handed a Black Stars call up again ahead of the upcoming international friendlies against USA and Mexico.
