Richmond Boakye-Yiadom nicked an hat-trick as Selangor FC thrashed Kelantan 11-2 in the Malaysian Super League at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium.
The Ghana striker was handed a starting berth and played the full 90 minutes for Selangor.
Boakye-Yiadom fired Selangor's seventh, eight and ninth goals respectively as Yohandry Orozco and Sharul Nazeem had shot them into the lead (28th and 32nd minutes) before halftime.
Colombian forward Ayron del Valle scored four goals after recess before Faisal Halim scored twice in the 50th and 53rd minute.
Boakye-Yiadom then wrapped up an emphatic victory for the Red Giants with his three goals.
Selangor are still second on the league log, hoping to climb the ladder and overtake leaders Johor Darul Ta'zim FC.
Boakye-Yiadom's Ghanaian compatriot Alex Agyarkwa came off the Selangor bench in the second half and received a yellow card after a bad tackle.
