The Belgian top-flight campaigners have joined the queue for the signature of the 26-year-old defender ahead of the summer transfer window
Belgian Pro League side Royal Antwerp have joined the race to sign Ghana international lateral defender Gideon Mensah in the summer, reports from the Belgian media have stated.
The former RB Salzburg left-back, who is currently plying his trade in the French Ligue 1 with AJ Auxerre, is currently on the radar of many suitors across Europe, with English Championship side Sheffield United and Portuguese giants FC Porto believed to be the front-runners in vying for his signature ahead of the summer window.
Per O jogo, Royal Antwerp are ready to battle with the aforementioned admirers over the former Sturm Graz defender as they are already aware of his talent and potential following his loan stint with then top-flight outfit Zulte Waregem during the 2020 season.
Given his impressive performances with the Ligue 1 campaigners so far, his suitors are to fork out an amount of 3.5 million Euros if they are to capture him in the summer as per his transfermarkt valuation.
Mensah has so far been involved in 27 games for AJ Auxerre across all football contests in this 2024-25 football season.
He currently boasts of 26 caps with the Ghana Senior Men's National Team, the Black Stars at the international level.
