After living up to his billings at the Estadio El Alcoraze during his loan spell last term, the Spanish Second-tier outfit are now hell-bent to secure him on a permanent basis next season

Spanish La Liga 2 side SD Huesca are keen on securing the services of Ghanaian centre-forward Samuel Obeng Gyabaa on a permanent deal, with an offer being tabled to his current employers Real Oviedo.

The 26-year-old striker enjoyed a breakthrough season on loan with the Huesca-based side during the 2022-23 season and that impressive outings have now left the Segunda División campaigners with no option than to fight in order to prise him away from their league rivals on a lasting term of contract for the upcoming season.

Spanish tabloid AS has reportedly that Real Oviedo have received offers including that of SD Huesca for the Ghanaian attacker, but the fees are way below their valuation as it ought to be increased if they aim to secure his signature in this summer transfer window.

Sporting director Ángel Martín González is planning to offload two of his charges namely; Romanian international Andrei Rațiu and Spanish forward Daniel Escriche to fund the transfer of his target man.

Obeng netted 5 goals in his 17 game appearances in last season's Segunda División campaign.

His deal with Real Oviedo will expire on June 30, 2024 and as per his transfermarkt valuation, his current employers must pay €1m upfront in order to land him this summer.

He is yet to earn his international cap with Ghana at the senior national team level, the Black Stars.
