Austrian Bundesliga outfit TSV Hartberg have abrogated their contract with Ghanaian attacker Seth Paintsil by mutual consent.
The Austrian top-tier club announced the departure of the 27-year-old winger, who had few months left on his two-year contract.
Paintsil has been struggling for playing time at TSV Hartberg, making only 13 appearances across all competitions this season.
The club's official statement reads “The contract with Seth Paintsil was mutually terminated at the player's request.”
"Seth, thank you for your commitment in almost two years Hartberg and all the best for the sporting and private future,"
Paintsil is yet to play a single minute for TSV Hartberg this year after playing against RB Salzburg in October 2022.
He is the elder brother of Joseph Paintsil, who plays in the Belgian Jupilier League for KRC Genk.
