Tanzanian giants Simba SC have completed the signing of Ghanaian striker Jonathan Sowah from Singida Black Stars ahead of the upcoming season, per exclusive reports in the local media 

The 25-year-old switched to the Mtipa-based club in the middle of last season and made an instant and huge impact, contributing immensely to the club’s top four finish 

The Black Stars forward despite joining prior to the commencement of the second round, finished the campaign as the third highest top scorer with 13 goals, just 3 behind eventual winner Jean Ahoua - who is now his teammate per reports 

After this explosive performance, the two heavyweights in Tanzania; Simba SC and Young Africans SC all expressed interest in signing Sowah and were prepared to enter into a bidding war for his signature but the player has opted to join the Lions instead.

He’s reportedly signed a two-year deal with Simba SC after a fruitful negotiations between both parties, pending club announcement. He will officially join his new teammates on August 1 to begin preseason 

Jonathan Sowah has two appearances for the Black Stars since his debut against Algeria in September 2023
