The 20-year-old forward has been rewarded with an improved contract by the Austrian Bundesliga outfit following his outstanding performances at the club.
SK Rapid Wien Managing Director Markus Katzer has explained the club's reason for offering an early contract extension to Ghanaian winger Daniel Nunoo.
Nunoo penned a fresh contract to keep him at the Allianz Stadion outfit until the end of the 2029/30 campaign. His existing contract would have expired next summer.
Speaking to the club's official website after the signing of the contract, Markus Katzer disclosed that the club decided to offer an early extension to the nimble right-footed winger because of the exceptional talent he possesses and his behaviour during a difficult period.
The 46-year-old also stressed his commitment to the club, described him as a great addition to their setup and expressed his delight at his possible return from injury later this month.
Katzer said: "Daniel Nunoo is a perfect fit for our team. He behaved impeccably during what was a particularly difficult time for him recently and worked hard every single day. Like our coach Johannes Hoff Thorup, I am convinced that Daniel possesses exceptional potential and can become an even more important part of our team in the medium term.
"I am delighted that we have already been able to finalize the formalities for the contract extension we have always sought, and I look forward to seeing him back on the wing in our matches as soon as possible."
The former Shooting Stars FC attacker joined Rapid in September 2024 for an undisclosed fee. Initially assigned to the reserve team, he made an instant impact with three goals in 25 league appearances.

Nunoo also shone in the UEFA Youth League, scoring once in four appearances — including a crucial goal against FC Basel in Switzerland — a performance that earned him promotion to the first team.
He went on to register a goal and an assist in five first-team appearances before being sidelined by injury.
The right-footed winger is expected to return later this month as Rapid continue their push for the Austrian Bundesliga title.
Though yet to feature for Ghana at any level, Nunoo is now in contention for a call-up to the Ghana U23 national team.
