After the departure of Abdul Aziz Issah from FC Barcelona Atlètic recently, the next Ghanaian likely to leave the Estadi Johan Cruyff is left-back David Oduro but his will be on loan 

The 19-year-old joined the FC Barcelona youth team after a successful trials, from Ghanaian side Accra Lions prior to the commencement of the just-ended 2024/25 season 

The lanky lateral started on a higher note with the Spanish heavyweights and was playing so well with many a Ghanaian faithful having the believe of him rising quickly to the senior team after occasional invites to train with the senior team 

He made ten appearances, started five but wasn’t enough to secure Barca Atlètic survival as they got relegated from Group I of the Primera Federacion 

Oduro, who still has a contract with the European giants until the summer of 2027, is set to be sent out on loan as they not willing to let him leave permanently and will like to hand him a temporal exit in a more competitive league side to continue with his development 

Reports also surfacing in Spain is that, FC Barcelona city rivals Girona have already expressed interest and are in talks to secure the service of the Ghanaian but hasn’t been confirmed as to whether it will be on permanent basis or not 

David Oduro is currently on holidays looking to have enough rest in order to be fully ready for the 2025/26 season
