Black Stars first-choice goalkeeper, Lawrence Ati-Zigi is still being considered by German Bundesliga side VfL Bochum who are willing to secure his service before the just-opened transfer window closes, as reported by your most trusted sports hub Kickgh.com earlier this month.

The 27-year-old since joining Swiss topflight fold FC St Gallen in 2020, has been very impressive and didn't take long to command the post and become a mainstay and also a regular at the Kybunpark.

In the ongoing season, Ati-Zigi kept six clean sheets in 37 appearances in the Switzerland Premier League to help the Green and Whites finish fourth on the league log in the regular season.

However, VfL Bochum also had a very difficult campaign and had to flirt around the relegation zone for a while but managed to secure survival in the relegation playoffs.

In a quest to establish a redoubtable side for the upcoming season, manager Peter Zeidler has shifted his focus on the Ghanaian shot-stopper and are willing to secure his service for the 2024/25 football season.

Speaking in an interview on Mothers FM, Ati-Zigi's former teammate David Atanga couldn't really give details of the move since they haven't spoken on that but strongly believes if the reports are a concrete one, then the stalwart goalie will surely be given the greenlight to move.

Although I haven't had a chance to speak with Ati-Zigi but I’m sure his former coach at St Gallen will sign him to Bochum."

Lawrence Ati-Zigi just recently, featured in Black Stars back to back wins over Mali and Central African Republic in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
