The Stadium of Light outfit is the lastest club to show keen interest in the acquisition of the former Ghana youth international for a possible signing in the next transfer window.

Ghanaian defender Nathaniel Adjei has emerged as a top transfer target for English Championship side Sunderland following his explosive performances in the Swedish Allsvenskan.

 

The 21-year-old centre-back has attracted interest from several clubs across Europe after a following his breakout campaign with Hammarby IF in the Swedish topflight league.

 

Sunderland are considering to secure the signature of the former Ghana U20 defender with an open transfer fee around the region of €3.5 million.

 

It is believed that Queens Park Rangers, Middlesborough and Preston North End FC are all monitoring the former Inter Allies centre-back for a possible capture in the winter transfer window.

 

Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers are also interested in his services following his exploits in the Swedish Allsvenskan.

 

Adjei made 20 appearances for Hammarby in the Swedish League, scoring a goal for the Green and White lads this season so far.
