The German second-tier outfit are set to swoop for the services of the stopper of Ghanaian descent in the upcoming winter transfer window
German 2.Bundesliga side FC Köln have Swiss-born Ghanaian defender Gregory Wuthrich on their shortlist in an effort to land him from Austrian Bundesliga outfit SK Sturm Graz.
The 30-year-old defender, who came close to joining German top-flight side FC Augsburg during the summer, could now team-up with the lower division side as he figures on top of their shopping list ahead of the January transfer window.
According to a report filed by Cologne-based newspaper Kölnische Rundschau, the former top-flight campaigners are eager to bolster their back line options with the acquisition of the Ghanaian centre-back as a replacement for injured defender Luca Kilian.
Given his remarkable outings in the Austrian Bundesliga contests, his current suitors are to fork out an amount of 4 million euros if they are to prise him away in this upcoming winter transfer window as per his transfermarkt valuation.
Wuthrich remains unfit to represent Ghana on the international stage as he's been cap-tied twice by the Switzerland men's senior national team.
