Tajikistan Higher League (Ligai Olii Tojikiston) side FC Barqchi have completed the signing of Ghanaian defender Kamal Mohammed.
The western Tajikistan based club announced the news via an official club press release on Thursday afternoon.
The 21-year-old centre-back joins FC Barqchi off the back of a 18-months spell with fellow Tajik rivals Kuktosh Rudaki. Mohammed has signed a short-term deal with The Yellow-Blues with an option of a further if he is able to impress.
The former Tudu Mighty Jet player is no stranger to the Ligai Olii Tojikiston. The defender featured in 10 league games for Kuktosh Rudaki in the top flight between January 2023 and July 2024.
After completing his move to FC Barqchi, the club said “Official: Muhammad Kamal is the new player of our team. The 21-year-old Ghanaian midfielder transferred from the "Kuktosh" team to the "Barqchi" team and will defend the honor of our team in the continuation of the season. Welcome to "Barqchi", Muhammad Kamal.”
Mohammed is expected to play an instrumental role for his new club in the second half of the season as they fight against relegation.
