Ghanaian winger Augustine Okrah helped his club Simba SC to get back to winning ways in fine fashion as they thrashed Kinondoni Municipal Council FC 3-1 at the CCM Kirumba Stadium.

Going into the match, Simba sat in second place following last Wednesday’s away draw at Kagera Sugar and they knew that they could not afford another disappointing result this time around. KMC, meanwhile, came into the game off the back of two successive wins.

Tanzanian international John Raphael Bocco broke the deadlock of the match to ploy the hosts ahead in the 15th minute mark but KMC defender Sadala Lipangile scored to cancel Bocco's opener for Simba.

Okrah scored a spectacular stunner to restore his side's lead in the 54th minute before DR Congo centre-back Henoc Inonga Baka fired home the third goal to steal all three points for the away team.

Simba SC are currently sitting second on the league log with 41 points, six points behind leaders Young Africans (Yanga) after eighteen rounds of matches played so far this season.

Next up for Simba is Tanzania Prisons FC in the League this Friday afternoon, December 30, as Monday's win has given them some confidence heading into that big match at home.
