Ghanaian wingback, Tariq Lamptey is in the final stages of his rehabilitation and will be handed a medical greenlight very soon to join his other Brighton and Hove Albion teammates for preseason ahead of the 2023/24 season.
The dynamic lateral has been out of action for four months now, following an Injury he picked in a Premier League fixture against West Ham United back in February- a game he spent only 16 minutes on the pitch.
Lamptey was expected in two months time to at least honor some matches in the latter part of the campaign but suffered a setback during his recovery and never returned again until the season ended.
The good news now is that, the ex- Chelsea fringe star, has now recovered and will be declared fully fit very soon to start preseason- where the Seagulls will warm themselves up with series of friendly games for the new season including one against Spanish Laliga side Rayo Vallacano.
The 22 year old has missed Ghana's last three matches- double header against Angola in March and just recently against Madagascar all in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers
