Ghana defender Tariq Lamptey picked up an injury in Brighton and Hove Albion massive win over West Ham United in the English Premier League on Saturday.
Lamptey, who commenced the fixture for Brighton lasted for only sixteen minutes of the game action at the American Express Community Stadium.
The 22-year-old was replaced by Dutch international Joel Veltman after being signalled of his unavailablity to continue the game.
Brighton boosted their hopes of European qualification with a thumping Premier League victory over struggling West Ham that increases the pressure on Hammers boss David Moyes.
Alexis Mac Allister put Albion in front midway through the first half, converting from the spot after Jarrod Bowen bundled Kaoru Mitoma over in the area.
Substitute Joel Veltman doubled the hosts' lead soon after half-time, chesting the ball in at the far post following a corner, before Mitoma slid in to make it 3-0.
Danny Welbeck added further gloss to the scoreline late on, drilling a right-footed shot into the bottom corner to condemn the Hammers to their biggest defeat of the season.
Lamptey is expected to undergo a mandatory medical examination to know the extent of his injury situation ahead of Ghana's 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola later this month.
He is currently a key member of the Ghana national team after announcing his decision to play for the West African nation last year.
Lamptey, who has made 23 appearances with a goal to his credit across all competitions, represented Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
