Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus described West Ham United's victory over Manchester United as a special gift for the club's fans.
The 23-year-old scored in the second half at the London Olympic Stadium on Saturday, sealing a 2-0 win after Jarrod Bowen's earlier goal.
Speaking to TNT Sports after the match, Kudus, who has now scored nine goals for West Ham, expressed his joy for the fans, calling the win a perfect Christmas gift.
“As an attacker, this is what I am here to do, to put the ball in the net. Most importantly we got the three points and I am happy for the fans because this is the last game before Christmas," he said after the match.
"This is a perfect gift for them and we wish them a happy Christmas. They will enjoy this," he added.
As a key player for David Moyes' side, Kudus is anticipated to feature in Ghana's squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
