Thomas Partey, the Ghanaian midfielder, has commenced pre-season training with Arsenal as they prepare for the upcoming Premier League season.

After enjoying a vacation in his home country, Partey arrived at Arsenal's training camp earlier today to begin preparations for the new season.

During the previous campaign, the 29-year-old featured regularly in midfield, making 40 appearances across all competitions. However, his form noticeably dipped during Arsenal's struggles towards the end of the season.

With the potential arrival of Declan Rice, Partey may face increased competition for a spot in the starting lineup.

There have been rumors linking Partey with a move away from Arsenal this summer, with Saudi Pro League clubs Al-Ahli, Al-Khaleej, and Al-Nassr reportedly making audacious offers for his services. However, these offers have been turned down according to reports. Additionally, Manchester United and Juventus are said to be interested in signing the Ghanaian deputy captain.

In Arsenal's first pre-season game, a 1-1 draw against Watford, Partey did not feature.

Having joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid in 2020, Partey has made 99 appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals and providing four assists.

Arsenal is expected to continue their pre-season preparations in the United States of America before their opening Premier League match against Nottingham Forest at home on August 12th.
