With this remarkable feat, the Ghana national U-17 men's football team technical handlers will be much excited as they hope to see him emulate such feat at the international level ahead of the 2026 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament slated for April 25 to May 15, 2026 in Morocco.

ln a recent interview with Citi Sports, Martey revealed his determination to be at the U17 AFCON with the two-time Africa U-17 Cup of Nations champions: ''Personal objective, just go there-the AFCON-shine, do my best with the team. Getting integrated with the team and just doing great things with them, I think, that’s the most important thing for me.''
