Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC have completed the signing of former Inter Allies FC defender Wahab Ackwei from Grande Valley FC for the 2024 USL Season.
The 27-year-old's move to the El Paso County side is awaiting approval from the USL league federation.

During Ackwei's time at Rio Grande Valley FC, he scored two goals, had 66 clearances, won 14 tackles, and held a passing accuracy of 80.8% during the 2023 season.
Technical Director and Assistant Coach of Switchbacks James Chambers told the club media: "Wahab has been a primary target of ours for a while now. Delighted to finally get him on board and excited to have him integrate into the 2024 group. He is a terrific person and has a real desire to continue to develop, He’ll bring a great mentality to the group and we are excited to welcome him to the organization.”
