In the Swedish Allsvenskan on Monday evening, Michael Baidoo — a sensational Ghanaian midfelder — scored his third goal of the season for Elfsborg against IFK Norrköping.
Baidoo was on target and also provided an assist to see Elfsborg extending their lead on top of the 2023 Swedish topflight league table with a 3-2 home win against IFK Norrköping at the Boraas Arena.
The 24-year-old aided the Yellow and Black lads to open the scoring in the 11th minute after delivering a beautiful pass to Ahmed Qasem notch up the opener.
Baidoo doubled their lead with a superb strike on the 20th minute of the game after slotting a ball from Niklas Hult past goalkeeper Oscar Jansson.
A minute to the hour-mark, Danish international Jeppe Okkels made it 3-0 for Elfsborg before the visitors scored twice through Marco Lund and Vito Hammershoy-Mistrati on the 68th and 83rd minutes respectively to end the match in a five-goal thriller.
Baidoo enjoyed the entire duration of the game while former WAFA and Aduana Stars midfielder Emmanuel Boateng lasted for 85 minutes for Elfsborg.
He has now scored three goals and provided six assists in 20 league matches for Elfsborg in the ongoing season.
