The ball-playing defender is on the verge of sealing a move to the Black and White lads in the ongoing transfer window.
Portuguese top-tier club Vitoria de Guimaraes have reportedly reached an agreement with FC Nordsjaelland to sign Ghanaian young centre-back Maxwell Woledzi.
Kickgh.com can exclusively report that Vitoria Guimaraes has identified the 20-year-old defender as replacement for his compatriot Abdul Mumin who is on his way out of the Estádio D. Afonso Henriques outfit after a two-year stay.
Abdul Mumin has been strongly linked with a switch to the English Premier League after attracting interests from Newcastle United and Leicester City. The £12million-rated centre-back enters the final two years of his contract this summer.
Mumin's imminent exit from Vitoria Guimaraes has forced the club to conclude talks with FC Nordsjaelland for Woledzi who also wants to leave the Danish outfit due to lack of playing times.
Woledzi featured in seventeen (17) matches for FC Nordsjaelland in the just ended 2021/22 season.
His current contract with FC Nordsjaelland will expire in June 2023 and the Danish SuperLiga side have decided to prise him away to avoid losing him freely to any club next summer.
Woledzi is a product of Ghanaian-based Right to Dream Academy who's yet to feature for Ghana at any level.
