The stopper is unsure about his time with the newly-promoted top-flight side as talk of fresh terms is yet to be opened between both parties for the upcoming season
Ghanaian centre-back Joseph Baffo has hinted that his future with Allsvenskan side Halmstads BK remains unknown for now having exhausted his deal with them this season.
The 30-year-old, who played an integral role in their qualification to the Swedish top-flight last season, is determined to extend his stay with the newly-promoted top division outfit ahead of the start of the new football campaign.
''I definitely think it does,'' the former Helsingborg stopper told Newspaper Hallandsposten when asked about his contract situation with HBK.
''Then there are always two sides to the coin so if you ask them the same question, they will say the same thing. We'll just have to see what the future holds. Until then, it's just a matter of keeping going and being ready when an opening is given."
Baffo said he is open to making moves to any interested suitors be it in Sweden or the Nordic Region as he believes he's capable of excelling with any side within those regions or abroad.
''That's the challenge. I know about my capabilities so it's still to strive as high up as possible. I definitely feel that I am capable of performing in other environments, whether it is better clubs within Sweden or the Nordic region or outside the Nordic region.''
He made 19 appearances by scoring 7 goals in league games for Halmstad BK in the Superettan during the 2022 football season.
The Accra-born centre-back is still eligible to play for Ghana at the international level despite featuring for the Swedish national youth sides.
