Black Stars forward, Inaki Williams scored from 15-yards last Monday night to salvage a point against Real Mallorca in the Spanish Laliga and stated they were just lucky to have avoided a defeat in the game.

The Red and Whites continued their quest for European inter-club competition next season after holding Mallorca to a 1-1 thrilling draw at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix.

After lack of goals in the first half, South Korean international Lee Kang-in pounced on a pass from Vedat Muriqi on the 58th minute of the game.

Athletic Bilbao displayed an impressive performance after conceding the opener but their efforts went futile until Inigo Ruiz de Galarreta handled the ball in the box to give them a penalty.

Williams elected himself to brilliantly convert the spot-kick firmly into the back of the net to help Bilbao to pick a crucial point at Real Mallorca.

He enjoyed the entire duration of the game with Baba Iddrisu coming off the bench to feature for Real Mallorca.

Speaking after the game, the lanky striker admitted there was luck on their side and is reason they avoided a defeat and added their focus has now been turned to their next game against Real Betis.

Williams has now scored nine goals and provided two assists in 30 La Liga games for Athletic Bilbao this season so far.

They will face Real Betis in a mid-week clash on Thursday, May 4, in a must win tie with just two points separating them on the log.
