The German top-tier outfit have reportedly tabled a bid to land the defender of Ghanaian descent on a permanent basis in this summer transfer window
Bundesliga side Werder Bremen have offered €3m for the permanent signing of potential Black Stars left-back Derrick Köhn from Turkish giants Galatasaray, a report from the Turkish media has indicated.
After spending the just ended season on loan at the Die Werderaner, those in charge of the Weserstadion are now making a move to secure the services of the 26-year-old ex-Hannover 96 man on a permanent basis given their option of making the loan deal permanent at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
Per Turkish journalist Ertan Süzgün, the German club have tabled the aforementioned figure for the Ghana-prospect defender although his parent club are believed to have demanded an amount of €5m in excess for their prized asset over his transfer deal in the summer.
Derrick had a fabulous season with Werder Bremen after featuring in 34 games across all competitions during his loan spell in the just concluded 2024-25 campaign.
Given his Ghanaian heritage, the Hamburg-born lateral defenbder remains eligible to play for Ghana on the international stage despite playing for the Germany U19 national youth team.
