The English top-flight outfit have reportedly ignited their interest in the services of the Ghanaian defender, with an offer tabled for his signature in this winter transfer window
English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers have tabled a bid of 19 million euros to French Ligue 1 side RC Lens for Austrian-born Ghanaian defender Kevin Danso, according to multiple reports from the English and French media.
The 26-year-old former FC Augsburg right-full back is likely to be moved on by his current employers in this January transfer window and has now been tipped to link up with the Molineux Stadium campaigners in the coming days.
According to reports from both The Telegraph and L'Equipe, Wolves are eager to bolster their defensive line options with the signing of the Ghanaian stopper in an effort to complement the backline set-up of manager Vitor Pereira having offered the aforementioned figures for his services this January.
The English tabloid has added that a deal between both clubs could be finalised ahead of the upcoming weekend, with the transfer window set to be shut down in few days.
Danso is not new to the English top-tier competition after having a loan stint with Southampton during the 2019-20 football season.
He has so far featured in 12 league games for RC Lens in this current French Ligue 1 2024-25 football campaign.
Born and raised to Ghanaian parents in Austria, Danso remains ineligible to represent Ghana at the international level as he's been cap-tied by the Austrian senior national team.
