Ghana winger Yaw Yeboah struck the opener as Columbus Crew demolished second tier side Loudoun United 5-1 of the US Open Cup at Segra Field.
The 26-year-old slotted home in the 6th minute to help the Crew to exit Virginia with the victory after what proved to be a match of enough clear-cut openings.
Attacking midfielder Sean Zawadzki scored the second for the Black and Gold in the 18th minute before Isaiah Parente nudged twice in the 24th and 27th minutes respectively to increase the tally.
American-Mexican forward Christian Ramirez added the third goal before the first half was brought to an end.
The hosts looked comfortable in the waning minutes and easily scored their consolation goal with a spot-kick in the 86th minute through Kalil Elmedkhar.
Ivorian left back Gaoussou Samaké was shown the pecking orders which made Loudoun suffer an early blip and struggle throughout the match.
Yeboah has now bagged two goals and recorded one assist in thirteen appearances in all competitions for Crew this season.
