Newly-signed FK Partizan star, Zubairu Ibrahim has sent a heartfelt message to his former club Jedinstvo Ub and has thanked them for the opportunities, grooming given to him and added they will forever remain in his heart.

The Serbian heavyweights officially unveiled Zubairu Ibrahim as their new player on a four-year deal for a reported fee of €500,000. 

The 20-year-old since moving from the Ghanaian topflight to Jedinstvo Ub in 2022, was very outstanding and unplayable having established himself as one of the fans favourite at the Stadion Dragan Dzajic. 

In the just ended season, Zubairu contributed 17 goals; scoring 10 and creating 7 in 28 matches to help the Red and Whites finish second in the Prva Liga Srbije to gain promotion into the Serbian SuperLiga. 

In a post made on his official Instagram page, the mercurial winger praised the club for giving him the European platform and stated they have really developed him very well and is now ready for every challenge ahead.

"It’s with mixed feelings as I write this message. Barely 2 years ago, I was accepted into this wonderful family Jedinstivo Ub as my gateway into European football. I have gone through training as a footballer and also as a person."

"Today, I see myself transitioning to another great family with huge responsibility but I believe with the kind of training I had from here, I am capable of withstanding any challenges. I want to say a very big thank you to the entire Jedinstov UB club, to Darko Matic my president, to my coach Ivan Radovanovic, my physical trainers Rasa and Srecko, to Bane Matic and the entire Ub city," he added.

"A very special thank you to Nemanja Matic, to Club Consult and Universal twenty two. I am not saying goodbye because UB will always be my city. Hvala ti sve," he concluded.

The mercurial winger is expected to join his new club very soon to begin preseason in order to gel himself very well in the team before the main season commences and is most likely he will mark his debut in a friendly against Dynamo Moscow on Wednesday, July 3.
