German-born Ghanaian defender Patric Pfeiffer opened the score for the visitors after making a good use of a pass from his teammate Tobias Kempe on the 4th minute of the game.

In the second half, Yeboah grabbed the consolation goal for Hamburger SV on the 87th minute.
 
After two minutes of scoring, Yeboah was shown a straight red-card for unsportsmanlike behavior.
 
Substitute Aaron Opoku of Hamburger SV was also sent off after receiving two yellow cards within eight minutes of his introduction.
 
Yeboah Königsdörffer has scored four goals in 6 appearances for Hamburger SV in all competitions this season so far.
 
He joined Hamburger SV on a four-year deal from Dynamo Dresden in a transfer fee around the region of €1.2m.
 
Yeboah Königsdörffer, born to Ghanaian father in Germany, announced his decision to represent Ghana at the senior level last month despite featuring for Germany at the youth levels.
